Christmas, Christmas, Christmas!

Did I ever mention that I love Christmas?

Now that (most of) the birthdays are out of the way and Bonfire Night has been and gone, I can finally get excited about Christmas :oD

I've already been working on some Christmas presents but I've actually made my first Christmassy things...some felt decorations for the tree!

Can't wait to get some more Christmassy things made...first on my list, Christmas bunting!

In a Lull

I seem to have lost my crafty mojo recently so haven't really been making much. I just don't feel inspired to do anything at the moment so I've been plodding along with a crocheted blanket.

I've been working on it (on and off) for a couple of years but I'm determined that it will be finished this year!

The only new item I've finished is this apron for my eldest for Christmas:

He loves baking so this will come in very handy!

Lots of Pictures

Ok, I haven't posted for a while, and that's because I've been really busy! Really got my crafty mojo back so I've been making the most of it!

So here's what I've been making:

Owl Bookends:

 Crayon Rolls:
 Doggy Doorstop:
Birthday Bunting (sorry about the poor picture)
 Fabric Placemats & Coasters:
 Buttercup Bag:
 Superhero cape for my eldest:
Another Buttercup Bag (although this was actually the first one I made):
 Eddie Elephant:
 And a crocheted poncho:

This poncho has been donated to the Stitches for strokes auction, so if you like it, you could own it!

Check out the auction page on Facebook:

Christmas Things Already?!

Ok, I actually started these last year and didn't quite get them finished but thought I'd better start early with the Christmas stuff and actually finish my boys' stockings.

So here they are:

The spots & names are felt appliqué and the stockings themselves are slightly padded. So glad I've got them finished.

It's now made me feel all Christmassy though (in July!!) so I've been thinking about what presents I can make for people.

Bags for my sisters...

A Pattern for Tasha

I'm rubbish...I've had this pattern for a crocheted hat written down on a piece of scrap paper for ages and I'm only just getting around to typing it up!

This is a little hat suitable for Lisa's Stars...I love it because it's so quick to work up, which means more hats for tiny babies.

It's written in British Crochet terms (even though I now think in American terms as I've been reading a lot of American patterns recently!)

Sorry Tasha, here it is:

Round 1: Ch3, sl st into 3rd chain from hook to form loop.
Round 2: Ch 2 (this is your first treble crochet), work 11 tr into loop, join round using sl st into your first tr. (12 st in round)
Round 3: Ch2, [tr in next st, 2 tr in next stitch] 6 times, join round using sl st into your first tr. (18st)
Round 4: Ch2, [tr in next 2 sts, 2 tr in next stitch] 6 times, join round using sl st into your first tr. (24st)
Round 5-7: Ch2, tr in each st around,  join round using sl st into your first tr. (24st)

Fasten off and sew in the ends.

This is my first crochet pattern I've ever writtten up so I'm not sure how it reads...hope it's ok!
