A Pattern for 'Upon Butterfly Wings'

I've recently been crocheting for a wonderful organisation called 'Upon Butterfly Wings'

They provide blankets, teddies & items of clothing for for babies lost to early miscarriage, during mid and late term pregnancy, stillbirth and neonatal death (the first twelve weeks of life). They also provide memory boxes to those who have lost a child, where they weren't provided with one at the hospital.

It really is a fantastic cause and they rely solely on volunteers to donate these items, so I thought I'd help out by offering the following crochet pattern for anyone who might want to help out.

This pattern is written in British crochet terms and I use dk yarn and a 4mm hook.

Round 1: Ch3, sl st into 3rd chain from hook to form loop.

Round 2: Ch 2 (this is your first treble crochet), work 11 tr into loop, join round using sl st into your first tr. (12 st in round)

Round 3: Ch2, [tr in next st, 2 tr in next stitch] 6 times, join round using sl st into your first tr. (18st)

Round 4: Ch2, [tr in next 2 sts, 2 tr in next stitch] 6 times, join round using sl st into your first tr. (24st)

Round 5: Ch2, [tr in next 3 sts, 2 tr in next stitch] 6 times, join round using sl st into your first tr. (30st)

Round 6-8: Ch2, tr in each st around, join round using sl st into your first tr. (30st)

Fasten off and sew in the ends.

Please take a look at UBW's website and see if you can help out:
